Why Volunteer to become a trustee?

  Being a trustee is a rewarding, and at times, challenging role. You will: -

• Contribute to the local community and help deliver our Charitable Objectives

• Gain strategic and management experience.

• Develop new skills, experience, and knowledge.

• Be part of a friendly, enthusiastic team of volunteers, and contribute to decision making. 

• Enjoy a variety of rewarding activities.

 

What are we looking for?

Currently we have a volunteer vacancy for the role of trustee treasurer and volunteer committee trustee(s).

Additional to the role of a committee trustee, the treasurer role includes the following specific responsibilities:

• Overseeing, approving, and presenting budgets, accounts, and financial information to the board of trustees.

• Working with the chair and the board to identify the financial management of Lee Hub’s strategic aims.

• Ensuring that accounts are prepared in accordance with financial best practice and meet the requirements of the Charities Commission, funders, and any relevant statutory bodies.
